Unclear Message

Just a while ago, we received a message from a friend who is responsible for the retreat that we will be attending in Bangkok this weekend till next week. Since it’s non-working day in Thailand for a couple of days we grab the opportunity to attend this retreat. And besides, the coordinator said we are free, we don’t pay anything. So we’re excited to go.

However, just few minutes, our friend called us and gave some corrections that we need to pay. We’re quite astonished but we decided to go because right after the retreat we will renew our passport and we had already bought the ticket. And we can’t cancel that according to the sales lady. So, we will go though there are some changes that occur recently.

Life is like that, we are reminded that we are not perfect as humans. We always commit sin one after the other.

It’s timely that it’s “Holy Week” — we are reminded of the death of Jesus that through His death we might have life and have it to the full. He was sinless but He suffered for our sake – He was crucified on our behalf. Thank you Jesus for your great love!

Shocking Moment

Yesterday, early morning, we sent our friends to the airport, they’re going to Bangkok, then back to the Phil. It was our first time going to the airport after we went back to Thailand. We bid goodbye then went back to the center because my hubby and the company will be going to a school where we have extension classes. It’s 1 and a half hours away from the city. But I (with our sons) stayed in the center because I have classes.

When they went back, my hubby shared to us about something that happened on their way back home. While they were traveling back from the school, they were sharing and talking about something and suddenly, an army car bumped their car, it was so fast, that all of them inside the car were shocked. Thank God, there was no car passing, and immediately my hubby moved on the side and looked at the car because he was the one driving. Only the side mirror was scratched, and everyone was safe.

It’s good to say a prayer before going anywhere for protection and safety.

The Last Day of the Year 2008

My friend is so cute

We’re having fun while watching the firecrackers and fireworks waiting for the year to end…

What’s happening???

Last night, the last day of the year, we went to a friend’s house and joined some Filipinos in celebrating the New Year! We really had fun and we went outside near the main road to see the different sounds Thai people are doing.

At first, we thought it’s just normal for them, because we only heard few sounds like the sound of firecrackers made by children. But when it’s about 12 midnight, we heard a lot of noise everywhere, and a lot of people are passing and going back and forth. We just enjoy the sounds and made fun of it.

The next few minutes we went back to the house and my sweetie led our sharing time, recalling God’s faithfulness all throughout the year. Some shared a few minutes but others spend sometime sharing because of God’s faithfulness and lovingkindness to all of us. We thank the Lord for all His blessings showered upon us. Then we prayed together with a BLESS Prayer.

BLESS means…

B – ountiful Blessings to everyone for the year 2009
L – ove and unity for the family, friends and loved ones
E – ndurance to move on
S – uccess for the year ahead
S – alvation of the lost

May this be your prayer too for your family, friends and beyond.
