Christmas is about His Glory

Christmas is about his glory
Christmas is about his grace
Christmas is a gift of love
Our Father gave us
More than just another story
About a special time and place
Christmas is a time to lift a song of praise

For God is with us
And we celebrate the Glory of His presence
Christ has come, to fill our hearts with love
He came to save
King of kings and Lord of Lords His name is Jesus
God with us Emmanuel has come

Angels filled the night with singing
God is reaching out to man
Bringing us a gift of hope
In Christ our Savior
More than just a time of giving
This is God’s eternal plan
And Christmas is the reason
We can sing again

For God is with us
And we celebrate the Glory of His presence
Christ has come, to fill our hearts with love
He came to save
King of kings and Lord of Lords His name is Jesus
God with us Emmanuel has come

For God is with us
And we celebrate the Glory of His presence
Christ has come, to fill our hearts with love
He came to save
King of kings and Lord of Lords His name is Jesus
God with us Emmanuel has come
God with us Emmanuel has come
God with us Emmanuel has come …

This is my favorite song during the Christmas season. We sang this song last Sunday and I was able to play the keyboard and sang at the same time. It’s a beautiful song that soothes the heart and blesses us in every way.

Christmas Season

In this Christmas season, many things happened. We cannot do otherwise since it’s something that is happening in the world. Many suffered due to typhoon Odette especially in the Southern part of Negros where I came from. It’s unbelievable but it happened anyway. There were three dams being constructed many years ago in order to hold back water in order to form a reservoir were burst. It was indeed a super typhoon that struck many cities and municipalities. No one could ever stop the flow of water and most of the locals suffered, lost their homes and families too.

My brother finds it hard to look for a generator since they have heard that electricity will be back after 2 months. And they will have some problems if that may happen. Amidst these trying moments of their lives, God is still good and faithful! God with us! Thank you, Lord, for protection, shield, and rampart.

A blessed Christmas to one and all!

Pampering Time

When I pamper myself this time it means I need to spend much. I did. Although it is costly to spend on beauty products, this time I see to it that I gained much than ever. And it would make me better inside out.

One thing for sure, it won’t change the way I look at myself or others but it makes me feel good and to have that confidence in bringing myself to the crowd. Facing my students and making them feel that their professor looks great, huh!

Nevertheless, looking good won’t change your character. Your being you would mean something when people look at you inside out. A better you would come out if you behave the way you are and help those in need. It makes you feel worth it!

Party Time

Party time is everywhere. We enjoyed and shared laughter, joyful hearts especially at this time of the year where we celebrate Christmas and share our deepest hearts. This is the season of giving and blessing.

We had our Christmas party in school and shared laughter in just a few hours. But the time spent is indeed memorable since we see each other face to face and spent a little of sharing something we enjoyed.

After the party we headed to SM supermarket and find ourselves being with many people. Some were eating, other were looking for a place to plug in their mobile phones since a day before we experienced a very strong typhoon (signal #4 to be exact) and up to this time they don’t have electricity. Many things happened but only one thing is for sure, we are safe and secure because of Jesus protecting us.

The Pandemic

Many years ago, a decade to be exact, we were in Thailand with my family. My youngest son was still 5years old at that time when a virus was heading some parts of the world. A known SARS, but it didn’t hit many unlike now, this COVID-19 that strikes the world allow the world to suffer. It’s not that easy, many suffered, and some experienced painful struggles because of the loss of loved ones. We cannot fight but be vigilant in everything we do and move. Just need to follow protocols and observe social distancing to avoid the spread. Although some were already vaccinated still we need to keep track and be careful. COVID strikes anywhere and everywhere. We need to protect ourselves.

Only this time that this virus strikes the world unexpectantly. We were not prepared, we were not sure what to do and education suffered, from Pre-school to University students. But then, what shall we do? What do we need to accomplish? Those are the questions that we’re still looking for answers to. Although, we were able to combat and fight we still look for a better tomorrow.

I believe, God in His Sovereignty, is able to protect, guide, bless and preserve our lives according to His plan and purpose. We just need to surrender and be blessed!

A Grown-up Man

My teenager started working a few years ago in another city away from us. For the first time that he stayed away from us and finds it hard to be away for the first time. However, he was able to survive and for us too, we were able to adjust.

Thank God, he was able to transfer to our city and was able to continue working online. A better place to work and to stay. Thank you, Lord, for the blessings and the safety of my son.

Mothers will always love their children no matter how old they are and will be. We will always treasure the time when they were still small kids and ran after them when they cry or were in danger. Mothers will always find ways for them to be kept and safe.
