Weddings Here and There

Christmas has been and will always be the busiest month of the year. Aside from school activities there are other enjoyable moments with friends, loved ones and family members. For some, the most important are the parties here and there, the gathering of people from every walk of life and the eating together as part of the lives of many. Somehow, we share, give and bless one another. This week I had a lot of parties, weddings so to speak and I sang in one occasion. It's good that I learned Leah Salonga's wedding song when she sang on her wedding day. I love that song "Two Words" although I learned it just 2 days ago but the song really had powerful words for the newly wed couple.

Just Recently

Sharing some of my pictures taken just recently. When I first came back to the Phil. the first picture was our choir presentation. The second picture was taken in one of the beaches in our place. It's near our house when we first grew up and we went and visited the place once in a while especially when we wanted to be away from the maddening crowd and be at peace with nature.

Giving Away $5

To give is to share. To share is always a part of me but doing it online is something I failed to do since I started blogging. I find it hard to do since I don't have time to do it after I started working. I don't even have time to blog, huhu!!!  I really forced myself to do it though. Now I'm back and willing to share something. I will be doing it every month.

This will be my first time  Giving Away some amount for those who are planning to visit my blog. Since I started blogging I didn't dare since I don't have any courage. Anyhow, this is high time for me to share and give the blogger with the highest visits for the month.

I don't have any rules to follow. I just want you to visit everyday and write memorable comments. The blogger with the highest visits with your comments for the month will receive $5. As what I have said, it will be every month. Hope you will enjoy visiting my blogs. In December, higher amount will be expected. I enjoy sharing - so just come and give your smile.

It will start tomorrow, August 13 and will end on September 13, 2012 at 12 midnight. If there are many visitors I might add some amount to be given. Again, this is just new and I'm trying to work it out.

The blogs you need to visit:

1. His Unfailing Love
2. Melodygem's World
3. My Teenager's Journey
4. Sharing and Giving
5. Creativity is Beauty

Sorry one of my blogs has closed comments. I didn't know where to click to open the comments. Is there anybody who can help me? Anyway, enjoy your visits.  Would  you mind telling your friends too?  Thanks everyone!

Wanted to Earn?

A friend of mine started earning online for more than a month now. She told me about it when we chatted last month. We had no communication for more than a year. We just send offline messages to say "hi." I never knew she was already earning some penny.

Anyway, she never joined after her bad experience with some websites that promised online income few years back. I joined some too because she encouraged me and at times forced me to join. And many times she would pay on my behalf especially when there's a need for payment. This time, she thought it's still the same, she was not attracted at first when her friend told her about the earnings online. Her friend was working in a call center here in Bacolod before he joined the program online. Her friend checked the website and studied for many months before joining. Then stopped working at the call center and focused on his online income because he said that he was earning more than his income in the call center this time.

By the way, my friend is living in Korea with her family, she's a Filipina married to a Korean. Her friend who invited her is living in the same barangay where I live with my family. When my friend invited me at first, I didn't say yes immediately but I contemplated and thought many times since I need to spend some amount if I wanted to earn more and fast. I asked my friend in Korea if how much she spent for a start. I just knew that she spent 100$ when she started. But believe me or not, she's now earning 40$ a day. This site is indefinitely sustainable.

Many won't believe at first and were hesitant to spend a penny but decided after learning more about the site. Others still won't believe but it's their choice. So far I had earned 63$ for a month. It's not bad at first since I'm new and no referrals yet. Anyway, you can check this site or here to learn more.

If you wanted to join just let me know and I will show you more... The picture above is shared by my friend in Korea who happened to share to her friends around the place. Most of them were Filipinos and wished to earn online as well.

I discovered this online earnings just lately when a friend of mine shared. She's a Filipina married to a Korean. She's now enjoying her daily income. She just invest some amount and lo and behold, according to her she's earning something to send 4 kids to school.

I just started investing and wanted to earn like her too. Hopefully after 90days of waiting everything will be settled. I will let you know if I have much earning. For now, it's still a little amount, so I'm keeping it with myself at this time.

The Baguio Trip

We were making a pose while waiting for the airplane from Bacolod City airport. We had the opportunity to attend the Women's Conference in Baguio last May 16-20.

It was so memorable because hubby and the other husbands came over. However, they did not attend the conference but rather went to different places and had their own enjoyment.

Of course, one of the places that hubby desired to visit is the Phil. Military Academy (PMA)in the heart of Baguio City. We headed to Baguio after reaching Manila because we wanted to spend more time and visit other places nearby. We had a stopover since we travel for more than 7hours and of course another pose while waiting for Victory Liner bus to go. On our way, we saw a lot of stiff mountains and roads that were surrounded by mountains which made us felt scared. Although
I had been there before but I still have scary moments while looking at the tall mountains and dangerous roads, I should say. Anyhow, we were able to overcome it. When the bus went up the driver was forced to turn right with a crooked road. We could feel the turning because our bus is quite big. But we enjoyed the travel. This was our last stop - we visited this place and bought the best jam done by "The Good Shepherd Store." It was so memorable and we enjoyed to the max.

Happy Mother's Day

Mothers did everything for their children. They are working seven days a week, 24 hours a day. No day off, relaxation is seldom to be found. A good mother loves her  family and provides an atmosphere where each member can find acceptance, security, and understanding. She is there when the children need  a listening ear, a comforting word, a warm hug, or a loving touch on a fevered brow. And for the Christian mother, her greatest joy is in teaching her children to trust and to love Jesus as their Savior.

That kind of mother deserves to be honored -  not just on  one special day a year but everyday. And that recognition should involve more than words; it ought to be shown in respect, thoughtfulness, and loving deeds. This was taken from the Daily Bread.

Of all the earthly things God gives
There's one above all others
It is the precious, priceless gift
Of loving Christian mothers

Godly mothers not only bring you up
they bring you to God

After our Practice

It's fun to see friends of long ago who had been a part of our journey as choir members. We had been together for almost 4 years during our college years since we sang  together, slept together and ate together and hang out at times. We had memorable moments during those years especially when we joined the NAMCYA competition at CCP (Cultural Center of the Phil.) Manila. The experience we have had made us closer to each other and helped us to be thankful to the Lord who gave us that gift in singing.

We met and joint forces together again lately for a greater purpose. It's sad that we're few because other members we're busy and some had their own life away from Bacolod and failed to make it. But one thing for sure we did something for a purpose. We wanted to bless Manay Lily, our dear trainer who had been suffering from illness and needed some medication. At least, we shared something to help augment her need for the moment. We sang for a cause....

And because of this  we met again and practiced the songs we sang 2 decades ago. We had a hard time at first since we need to recall the way we did before, and we're not that active as far as our body is concerned. Our voices are still there but our body won't cooperate at times, that means we are not growing younger, huh! But then our joy of singing is obvious; after few hours of practice we made a pose to let others  know that  we're here again bonding together and to entice other members to come and join us next time.

Pasasalamat - With a Grateful Heart

Last Sunday we had a gathering and a celebration. Early this month of April some Glee Club members (alumni) met at Bacolod Cosmopolitan Church for a cause and decided to join in Pasasalamat (Grateful) to Manay Lily and to help augment her needs since she had been undergoing a treatment. Although we had only few meetings but we pursued and ask the Lord's blessings.

We prepared 2 songs in our own capacity and we sang the songs that Manay Lily taught us more than 2 decades ago. During our conversations, we remembered how Manay Lily Cabahug trained us so eagerly that until now it's still fresh in our minds. The training we have had brought us to join the competition which is NAMCYA (National Music Competition for Young Artists) at Cultural Center of the Phil. (CCP) Manila. It was the experience that we could never forget. And we are proud to say that we made it to the top; we won 2nd place out of 15 regions all over the country. Manay Lily was able to bring us to the pedestal and though we looked like Batang Negros and those groups from Manila especially UST put us down during that time but they failed when the judges proved that we were able to compete and gave the best performance, huhuhu! It was indeed a blessing! Anyway, I will be posting more pictures soon. See you then...

On Tickets

We just connected with sky cable yesterday and my sons with their father were so excited to see movies  of any kind as well as sports unlimited. They saw seattle seahawks tickets while surfing and wanted to watch by themselves. My son and his cousin went back home late because they watched a movie. I guess, they had st louis rams tickets and tampa bay buccaneers tickets since they were excited to be there. It will be another exciting experience for them.

The Enrollment

Yesterday I started my work helping the enrollment. I was the one interviewing the in - coming first year students. I like my job because I interviewed those who can speak well of the language, those who are shy and are not good speakers of the language and those who are less fortunate, and able.

Nevertheless, everyone was given a chance to be a part of John B Lacson Colleges Foundation. As long as they passed the entrance exam. I enjoyed asking them questions. I know a bit of who they are. Some are good and others are just trying hard to survive in the enrollment flow. Tomorrow will be another day and another batch of students. It's exciting!

Our Graduation

During our graduation day last March at John B Lacson, Bacolod, we wore the attire we had during our graduation in college. So everyone looked for toga and Filipiniana for the said occasion. The attire will suit the highest degree you reached. It's good that I bought my own Filipiniana when I graduated for my Master's Degree. I wore a different attire.
There were 5 of us in the school who graduated in the same university so we wore the same attire. The other lady at the center graduated in another school and she looked differently.
There were invited guests and supporters of the student scholars and they attended the graduation ceremony. The owner of the school came and the speaker who came from the U.S.
There were a lot of students who graduated in the Marine Eng'g. courses and Marine Transportation. It took more than 4 hours to finish the graduation ceremony. There were more than a hundred from the Business Department comprising BSHRM, BSCustoms, and Stewarding. There were a lot of Stewarding students since it will only take a year to finish and they could go out of the country if they had the experience or joining their family abroad. It seems that Nursing is out of place nowadays and Stewarding is taking its place.
Marine students had all the joys after graduation. They were trained for ship works and they looked excited to go out of the school and earn. As what the speaker said in one of the seminars we have had, if you want to earn a million for a couple of years, try taking Marine courses. It seems that people nowadays are looking for a greener pasture in just a couple of years and become stable. The sad thing is, they forgot to look up to heaven and be grateful to all the things that God has given them. Most of them were proud of themselves. Hope they will learn to be thankful to God, their parents, friends and those who train them to be as such.

Dodgeball for Guinness

The greatest and known Dodgeball for the Guinness Book of Record was from the University of Alberta. There were 4983 players. World's Biggest Dodgeball Game played February 3, 2012 confirmed by Guinness World Records.
When my 9-year old son overheard me saying about Dodgeball he immediately came and check it out. And was glad to see a lot of people playing. Even hubby wanted to see it happen. You will really enjoy seeing them playing. Try to see for your yourself.

The Beauties of 2012

BB. Pilipinas is one of the shows I enjoyed watching. Especially in the QA which is the question and answer portion. I feel good if the lady wishing to be the Miss Universe could answer correctly and walk gracefully. Janine, the one who crowned Miss Universe 2012 deserved to be given the crown. Many got the beauty but she gave her best in the question and answer that gave her the chance to win.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as what others say but when you have the beauty and the brain with the fear of the Lord that settles everything. Congratulations to all the winners and those who joined. Nevertheless, you made it to the top and be one of the ladies with beauty and  grace. Congratulations!!!

How He Died

There is always someone stopped here to visit, pray, or meditate. Trucks, buses, or single vehicles… Groom is a tiny town on I-40, but gets lots of visitors because of this. What an incredible display. This could be one of the last surviving Christian symbols in the country! This is about 70 miles from Amarillo outside of town called Groom, TX. Read the message at the end of pictures! These are the pictures of the crucifixion of Christ, Sculptured from metal by a man near Amarillo, TX. The crosses are made of metal also. The man did this out of the kindness of his heart. Someone donated the land on which to erect them. In chemistry, He turned water to wine. In biology, He was born without the normal conception. In physics, He disproved the law of gravity when He ascended into heaven; in economics, He disproved the law of diminishing return by feeding the 5000 men with pieces of fish and 5 loaves of bread; in medicine, He cured the sick and the blind without administering a single dose of drugs; in history, He is the beginning and the end. In government, that shall be called wonderful, counselor, Prince of Peace. In religion, He said "No one comes to the Father except through Me." So, who is He? He is JESUS!

Join me and let's celebrate Him; He is worthy. Remain in God and seek His face always, AMEN! In God I've found everything!

The Greatest Man in History Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.  He had no army, yet kings feared Him.. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us! Blessed be His Name forevermore!
