Tourist Spot

Scenic Sunday Hubby was able to get this picture when he went with some friends around Bacolod City. Our friends were brought to different places that tourists would enjoy visiting. I haven't been here because I was not feeling well when they went out. This is my share for Scenic Sunday for this week.

Wait for Approval

I went back to the university this afternoon and the secretary gave me the papers that I need to give to the CHED-officer for approval. I might be going next week after a long vacation. Philippines will be celebrating a long holiday in connection with the National Heroes Day and another extended holiday.

I just hope next week would be the best time for me to go. After which I can apply for my S.O. and start applying for a job.

Football Fanatic

Hubby and kids are fond of watching sports' movies especially football in particular. When they heard about houston texans tickets that are available they immediately grab the opportunity. And much more, because tennessee titans tickets are also available as well as denver broncos tickets they take all. They don't even know what to choose at first. That's how eager they are as far as football is concerned.

It would be a great experience for my kids and hubby since they are football fanatic. I will be giving them time together and I guess, they will enjoy their time and will have fun.

It's Annoying and Expensive

I went out today after staying in the house for more than a week. I got sick and fell down last time. Now I realize I'm getting old and hope to be wise!!!

I had been working on my S.O. because I need to work and look for another job in order for us to survive here in the Phil. Hubby is helping in the church but I told them I need to look for a job since our kids are going to school everyday and we need extra income to augment the needs.

I went to the university and applied for the release of my S.O. for my graduate studies diploma and transcript of records. The funny thing was, they wanted me to go back to my hometown where I was born and ask for a certified true copy of my birth certificate and joint affidavits of my parents and 2 neighbors preferably my godparents when I was still a baby with their signatures telling that the person who was born in San Jose, Sipalay is the same person who was born in Si-alay, Bulata, Cauayan. I spent a lot already, by just asking a lawyer to make that kind of letter to be signed by the persons concerned would mean an amount to be paid.

I find it hard at first because a lawyer needs to know me and how she can make that kind of letter. The other funny thing is that, I finished my Bachelor's Degree more than 20 years ago but they discovered it only the last 2 weeks. This is the scenario: My birth certificate was okay as well my NSO, I told them that I even had passport and had been working abroad. The problem was in the transcript of records of my university. They follow the birth place that was given by my high school records. They did not follow the birth place that was written in my certificate of live birth. So before applying for a job, I need to work on it because I don't want to teach in High School but in colleges or universities. That's the only proof I have in order to apply- my Master's Degree. I actually went home and looked for the requirements. However, I got sick after few days and stayed at home for more than a week. Just this morning that I asked the help of hubby to accompany me to the university. At last, I can get it but wait.... I still need to go to Iloilo and see the CHED- officer to approve my changed of birth place to be carried for my S.O. I can't go tomorrow because I was already chosen to be one of the judges for the Linggo ng Wika tomorrow at Trinity Christian School. So I will be going next week. You see, I need to have an extra income just to survive here. Hope everything will be okay. I will let you know the updates next time...I must go now and see the secretary.

Fell Down

As what I had shared the other day, I was not feeling well. It's so easy for me to be sick this time and I can't help it. Just this morning I woke up early and was in a hurry to send a message to a friend which is quite urgent. After sending my SMS, I felt so weak and everything seems so dark. I could not understand but I felt weak.

After few seconds our helper saw me lying down with my head outside our door and my body inside. She called me and I thought I was just sleeping. I hurriedly walk up and hubby carried me back to our room and I still had dizziness. After few minutes I felt the pain at the right part of my head. My sister came and she put ice on the painful part and at this time I could still feel the pain. I don't know and not sure how I fell down. I asked hubby to pray for me that there will be no complications whatsoever. Thanks for praying as well. Our life is precious and we need to be thankful to the Lord always for all the things He has done.

Blessings to all!

Like Never Before

After my operation I had noticed that my health is deteriorating, it seems that I can easily catch cold or some viruses which renders me bedridden for sometimes.Previously, i still can do many things, like household chores and even some backyard gardening. Like these days, I was lying down most of the time because I was so sick that I can't help but sleep.
But now, I'm spending more and more time indoors, and I am depressed by this kind of situations. Being depressed again added some more psychological burden. So I have to make a choice to combat this kind of feelings.
Tho, I may no longer have the same strength or extra zest in doing things. I'm still able to do things which requires a little bit of energy, like blogging or doing some writing assignments.

A Privilege

I had a privilege to teach ACM students last week. The course was "Teaching Methods and Strategies in a Cross Cultural Setting". I enjoyed being with them. Since I had an experience teaching in another country I grab an opportunity to teach them. It was a refreshing experience for me because of the many things that happened to my life for the past years. Anyway, I was able to teach again and I was able to cook something special for them. The same thing that i did when I was in Thailand.

During the last day, I shared this video entitled " Making a Difference." And as a teacher, you can something for your students that could make this world a better place and their lives to be blessed and be a blessing!

Try to watch this movie and you will be teary-eyed after viewing it. You will make a difference, whatever you do and wherever you are...

The Ruins - Scenic Sunday

Scenic Sunday
Scenic Sunday is up again and I am glad to join. This is the known place in our city, "The Ruins". It is a mansion that was razed down by fire during the Japanese invasion in our island. The people chose to burn it down, than let it be used as a Japanese garrison or headquarters. It took three days for the fire to die down. So the once beautiful structure in the middle of the vast sugarcane fields, became an eye sore and was even used as living quarters of illegal squatters. Its ground was left unattended for a long time. More details be seen here.
