Yummy Sunday

I cooked puto last night. I tried to cook last week and my kiddos wanted to eat again so I cooked last night. My kiddos said not bad Mama - quite delicious. Huh! Not very delicious, lol! We missed our Manapla puto in the Phil. It's the known puto in our place and many have tried it already especially those who came from other places outside Bacolod. They were looking for Manapla puto every time they visit our city. More Yummy photos with Boogie in Perfectly Blended.

Leah Salonga - Phil. Songbird

I missed Phil. for a while so I surf the net and look for Leah Salonga's performances. She is one of my favorite singers. I guess, she's the best singer in the Phil. for me. She has gone so far and did a lot of best performances in the Phil. and abroad. She did well, performed well and sang very well. It's not that I'm a Filipino but she really did her best. Not only her but many Filipinos as well, they performed well as far as singing is concerned. They are great performers and gave honor to our country. Leah did her best in her singing career. I like her voice, how she sings and performs on stage. It's really amazing how God blessed Filipinos with good voices. I just hope that they will also give glory to God through this gift.

Then Sings My Soul Saturdays - This is the Air I Breathe

"This is the Air I Breathe" is my chosen song for my post today. We used to sing this song during our worship celebration. And I love it. I would like to share the lyrics too. This is the air I breathe This is the air I breathe Your Holy presence living in me And I, I'm desperate for you And I, I'm lost without you We are lost without the Lord on our side guiding us everyday. It's in His presence that we found peace and assurance. Amy has more to share with her Signs, Miracles and Wonders. Hope you can join with us too.

Friday Photo Flashback

In October last year, I was given the privilege to train 100-voice choir when we were in the Phil. Three months before I went to different churches 4 hours away from our city every weekend to train the church choir in preparation for the coming 50th Anniversary Celebration of a Bible School in the province sometime in October. I traveled a lot during that time because the churches were located either in the mountains or near the seashore. Yet I was so happy to be a blessing to these people. I was full of gladness serving the Lord in that way. There were times that choir members could not join the practice if they are away from the venue due to lack of finances - they have nothing to spend for their fare back and forth. Although they are poor but you could see their excitement and desire to be used for God's glory. Most of them were amateur as far as singing in the choir is concerned. So I have to be patient in dealing with them and gave more time for practice. A tiring one but it's challenging and it's worth it. We did it for the Lord. They performed well during the performance. And we gave God the glory - He deserves all our praises and thanksgiving. He was the giver of gifts and He gave gifts to each of His children. That was one of my unforgettable experience while serving the Lord. Alicia with More Than Words has more posts of Friday Photoflashback. Check it out. It's fun.

Mommy Moments - Let's Pretend

mommy moments
Mommy Moments is here again. Though I'm late but better late than never as what others say, huh! I guess I still have time to post. I search some of my photos and I found these pictures. This week's topic is all pretending. Kids love to pretend. My kiddos especially my 6-year old loves to pretend always. He loves to act, or pretend something different. However, my teenager feels awkward a lot of times. As if he feels old and not a kid anymore. Just pretending to be old, I guess, hahaha! But still he's not ready yet... to face the real world. Anyway, head on to Chris with her Mommy Moments for more posts.

The Travel

We went to a school yesterday and taught English together with my hubby (who was driving),with my two sons. It's a long way, it takes two hours to travel. We bought some food for our lunch on the way. Then hubby stopped alongside for us to eat. It seems that we're having an adventure but with a purpose. We taught for two hours and I guess, all my strength were gone after teaching. But we're happy blessing the students. They are really excited to learn English. And we were glad to teach them. We went back home with a thankful heart knowing that we are doing it for the Lord. On our way back home, we saw people making themselves busy while buying some flowers. I was telling my hubby that it was "Loi Kratong". A Thai celebration where most of the schools and companies make something out of banana leaves and decorate with flowers or other things where they can decorate flowers and let it float on the water it could be in the lake, in the sea, river or other places, believing that their past sins will be forgotten and will float and gone. I was looking for a picture but I can't find one. I will try to find and post it here.
