Then Sings My Soul Saturday

It's Saturday once again and Then Sings My Soul meme is coming up. I missed this meme last week due to my busy sched. I'm still waiting for this and I'm glad to be here again.

"Music is the Language of the Soul" as what the saying goes. Life is not complete without music. Even King Solomon in his splendour long for David to play the harp as a musical intrument they used long ago. Through music, his spirit was renewed. Music has a greater part in the people's lives. Although musicians will come and go, like Michael Jackson and others, music will still be there and will continue to blossom with the next musician on the go. Music will still come alive and become a part of our lives.

There is a song that I would like to share today.

Life is Short

I remember few years back when the news about Rico Yan's death spread all throughout the Phil. and it reached to the whole world, people sighed and mourned. Death is sure, we are not sure when or how but it will happen whether we like it or not. Early this morning, my brother shared that he read in the news that Michael Jackson was also passed away yesterday at the age 50. The death of Rico Yan and Michael Jackson is a kind of shocked to many. And they have the same death experience. But what does it imply to us who are still alive? What shall we do to our lives? Are we going to keep sinning or are we going to do something in the life we have now, what is life after death? I believe there is life after we passed away. We just need to be prepared and ask God for guidance and direction. We are passers-by and we have nothing to do if the Lord will take us away. We all passed the same road, so we need to be prepared... Someone said, there is such a great loss in the Pop Music industry. Sometimes I agree and many times I disagree because when someone is missing, there is always a successor, and at times, they are better than the first. There is a saying about sin and I quote:

Life is short, death is sure
Sin the curse, Christ the cure
Do you have Christ in your heart, He is knocking at the door of your heart. Would you let Him come in?
Thought to ponder:
What is life for? What do you want to happen for your life?

Mommy Moments 12 - School Days

mommy moments
How time flies and Mommy Moments is here again. I don't have enough pictures to share since most of my kids' pictures were left in the Phil. and my kids were doing homeschool here. But I'm still excited to share some pictures that I've got here in Thailand.
Just a couple of weeks ago, we sent AJ to a Thai School just for him to enjoy his life being a kid and learn a bit in Thai language and gain more friends. He is a friendly type of person so it's easy for him to mingle with others, whether young or old. Now, he has learned some Thai words and beginning to speak with us.
My teenager has a lot of pictures in the Phil. when he was still a kid but when he started to step on the teenager's stage, he doesn't want to be with us in the picture. He felt awkward. Now we learned to adjust in another phase of life for our kids. We're growing older... lol!
Try to visit Mommy Moments and enjoy reading and viewing the posts.

Sharing His Love

Making a difference to people's lives is our great concern. When we decided to leave our comfort zone, our desire was to be used in any way God is leading us. It's not easy, it takes courage, patience, perseverance and strength to go on but we are happy and there is joy within. One possible way that we can share the love of the Father to our students is to make friends with them. We can only do that through doing an extra mile. So everytime there is an opportunity for us, we usually grab it. A couple of weeks ago, we invited our students to come and dine with us. I cooked Thai food, Filipino dessert and we bought some fruits for them to enjoy. Thais love fruits that's why they enjoy if fruits are served. Last week, while I was teaching, in one of our conversations, I have discovered that one of my students will be leaving to Korea and she will stay there for 2 years. She was able to pass the interview for being an exchange student. I easily grab the opportunity to invite them again and join with us for another dinner. Although it's not easy but we love to do it for their sake. I prayed for them before we ate. They are fast learners and eager to learn. And it's really our desire that they too will know the Creator. And one way to show them is being friendly, spend ample time if possible, sharing our resources and everything we have to show them the love of the Father. I just prepared spaghetti, french fries and leche flan. They didn't like sweets, that's why my leche flan is still alive, lol! My kids loved it, so they have a chance to eat leche flan to the max!!!!!!!!!! They went home late after watching "The Sound of Music" which is also the family's favorite movie. Everyone enjoyed and have fun watching.

Mellow Yellow Monday 3

MellowYellowMondayBadge
Fruits are of any kind, color, shape and taste. I love fruits except durian which is not
my desire. My sweetie and my teenager loved it much but I felt dizzy
everytime I smell it, it's undesirable. My tummy is making a sound inside and
wanted to say something, lol! Aside from durian, I can eat anything and I can survive
by just eating fruits all the time. I have tasted a lot of fruits here in Thailand.
Fruits that are not available in the Phil. sometimes it's just common here.
And I was able to eat a lot especially when I do my diet. It's quite cheap
so I enjoy buying most of the time.
I chose fruits for today's meme, more Mellow Yellow Monday posts here.
