Point of No Return

I am blessed by reading daily bread today. And I would like to share it with you.

On New Year's Eve, we may fear the future because of events in the past. But we need not remain chained to our old memories because we can move ahead focused on God. Just as the Lord watched over the land and His people, so His eyes will be upon us all.

God's faithful care will extend to every day of the new year. We can count on that promise.

Thought for this New Year:

God holds the future in His hands
With grace sufficient day by day
Through good or ill He gently leads
If we but let Him have His way
The what of our future is determined by the Who of eternity.

A blessed New Year to everyone!

My Sweetie's Birthday

Today is my sweetie's birthday. Another life to live, and another blessings to receive, yehhhey! I really thank God for my sweetie. I remember when he was still courting me, whhhaaahh many years ago, he would do a lot of things just to please me. He was so sweet, caring and everything I was looking for a man. I'm blessed because I met him when he already knew the Lord. He was a different person before as what my friends and his friends were saying. He was a changed man, changed by the Lord.

Just a short review, hehe!. I was a member of the college choir, that's where I got my scholarship. We were known in and out of the campus. Hubby saw me when we had a concert. Anyways, while I was singing in solo he was attracted to my voice, whaah! That's the time he met me and I never bothered at first when we met because I was so scared of men when I was still young. However, God allowed us to meet again and we became friends. It's a long story, but I will tell you next time. I had learned so many things with my hubby. He's so loving and caring. Words could never be enough how thankful I am to have him. To you sweetie

While I was surfing today, I saw this link and they look cute while singing. I was doing this when I was still young, training children to sing. I already missed it. So when I saw this music I gladly took the link and shared it to all of you. Children are like angels when they sing, soft and cute voices.

Have a blessed Christmas and a wondrous New Year to all!

Word-Filled Wednesday

Psalm 127:1
Unless the Lord builds the house
its builders labor in vain...

Today, marks our 16th Wedding Anniversary. My hubby and I looked thin here in the picture. This is our favorite verse during our wedding 16 years ago. How time flies and we are growing older and wiser, lol! God is good and faithful all the time through all those years. He is always faithful and true to all His promises. We always Thank Him for each one and the love shared through thick and thin.

Looking for Jewelries?

Jewelries are woman's close friends. I guess, women like me will agree, we love having it just to add the attraction, whether in different styles or unique creations. I'm a jewelry lover too. I'm fond of searching and looking at the jewelry stores online and see for myself. I also enjoy making bracelets and other accessories for women.

Just this morning, I saw an online jewelry shop. It's interesting because there are also items for men like jewelry and watches. And one thing I discovered, you can have it for your own choice with their fascinating birthstones and gemstones. It's really good for birthdays and anniversaries. I will try to ask my hubby about it if he is willing to give one for me, since we will celebrate our wedding anniversary next week. I believe he will agree and buy one for me, lol!

Aside from our wedding anniversary, we will also celebrate hubby's birthday before this month ends. Wow, I'm glad to see this site. I have choices to make for this celebrations. I have already my own choice for hubby's birthday; it's easy buying online without any hassles. So what are you waiting for? See for yourself and visit this site, you will really enjoy.

Happy Birthday Nanay

Today is my Nanay's birthday (my mother). I missed her together with my Tatay(father) in the Phil. My Nanay is a retired teacher and my Tatay is a retired worker too. When we were still small we were trained by Nanay in doing household chores. Nanay is stricter than Tatay but I'm blessed because we are what we are right now because of her training. We cannot just go withour any permission and boys were not allowed to visit us in the house. I remember when my younger sister rode in a bike with another friend who is a guy and when my Nanay saw it, she called my sister and asked her to come down from the bike and talked to her. My sister was embarrassed in front of some friends but that's my Nanay, she didn't want us to experience bad things with the guys. We were really protected.

Nanay is a person who really worked hard to earn a living because Tatay had an accident when he was still working in the mine near our place so he can't carry heavy loads or things. That happened when we were still in graders. So Nanay worked very hard for us to survive while Tatay was there all along giving his support. She could make her own small business and striving for it to the max. That's my Nanay! Nay, happy happy birthday and Thank You for all your sacrifices and even hurtaches at times when we're disobeying you especially when we were still small. I believe my sisters and brother would agree that we are sorry. Now, we are parents and we understand how you felt before when we disobeyed you and Tatay. To my Nanay

Give Thanks to the Lord for He is Good

Thanksgiving Contest

Another contest is here again. I love to join in many contests here in the blogosphere because it's fun and I enjoy posting, huh! However, this contest is really different and interesting, why? It's a kind of contest that give glory to God. I remember the song we love to sing in our church in the Phil. It is entitled, "Count your blessings name them one by one and it will surprise you what the Lord has done," does it sound great? I honestly say Yes and Amen! It's easy for us to forget what we had received in the past but it's so hard to say "Thank You" to the giver of life and the Creator of all things. God deserves all the best, he deserves to be given honor and glory.

This year we received a lot of blessings from the Lord. However, it doesn't end there, we also encounter pains and hardship. Life is full of surprises! But with our God all the pains turn into a blessing. Let me share to you some of the things that I am THANKFUL about:

1. His grace that is sufficient and the life He gave.

2. For God's provision for our passport renewal, until now we're not sure where it came from but God knows, He used someone to bless us (to renew passport in another country is expensive).

3. When we came back to Thailand we spend a lot because of so many things to buy and prepare to settle again. We missed giving our tithe and in my prayer, I told the Lord, after our passport renewal, if He will use someone to bless us, we will give it all back to Him. That was my vow to God. The next month after our passport renewal, true enough, someone send some amount for us, 20,000 baht, for us it's big already, but I need to pay my vow to the Lord. The blessings was, the next few weeks, we received a message that my niece passed away. I was crying a lot and asked the Lord why? That was an unexpected news because in the morning they just visited my other sister, then in the afternoon, she was taken by the Lord. You know what happened? We don't have anything to spend for our airfare back home but the Lord send someone to provide. We really didn't expect to go back to the Phil. during that month because we have nothing to spend. Amazingly, He provided through a friend.

4. In my other post I shared about my niece who died of leukemia last Aug. but she experienced a miracle - for 7 months she was healed and everything was okay but the Lord has His will and He makes no mistakes! Through her death, many came to know the Lord. God can still do miracles! In our pain came the blessing.

5. This month has a lot of celebrations in our family. My sister celebrated her birthday last Dec3, my Nanay(mother) will celebrate her birthday tomorrow (Dec8), my hubby will also celebrate his birthday on the 29th and our nephew on the 30th . But the big thing is, my hubby and I will celebrate our 16th Wedding Anniversary on the 23rd. Can you imagine this kind of celebrations? Just count how old are we now, lol! just kidding. God has been good and faithful to us. Glory to His name!

6. This month I will also celebrate my 1st anniversary in the blogosphere. I was thinking to have a contest too but I don't know how to do it. If there are friends who are willing to share a helping hand, I guess, I will decide on it. I don't know how to make a badge and everything needed for a contest.

7. I won in some contests this year here in the blogosphere and I'm thankful to the Lord that I was blessed with friends here and there, not only in my blogging world but also outside the corner of this blog. And besides, 7 is my favorite number, in line with creation (7days). So this is my final thanksgiving list.

Thanks Online Mommy's Corner for this contest. If I will share our journey, I could have make a book then, just kidding! Anyhow, we are blessed because we obeyed the Lord.

Then Sings my Soul Saturdays

One of the songs that I love most during Christmas is this song, "We are the Reason." We are the reason that our Saviour Jesus Christ died on the cross. Christmas is a reminder that Jesus was born, but it wasn't ended there, He suffered, died and rose again on the third day and rose up to heaven with the Father. It's good news. Jesus came to set us free. We used to sing this song when I was studying and trained singers too in our place in the Phil. I really love this song. Amy with her Signs, Miracles and Wonders has a lot to share, try to visit her. A blessed weekend to all!

Friday Photo Flashback

Friday Photo Flashback
Hello everyone. I could not find any picture last Christmas but I still wanted to share some pictures many years ago. When I finished my Bachelor's Degree in the Phil. in 1992. Our graduation was held in the football field because there were a lot of students from different departments have joined us. Before it was only known as West Negros College but few years ago it was placed to a higher level and became a university. Those were exciting years of my life. I missed those years - I joined a lot of activities and became a member of the choir inside the campus known as Glee Club. I was a scholar that time so my parents didn't bother to pay any cents. I really enjoyed those years of my life. Those years trained me to be what I am now. I was trained to become a choir trainer as well as choir conducting. We even joined the national contest in Manila and won second place. We went to different places just to sing and doing a lot of concerts here and there. That's where my hubby find me. He was attracted to me because I was singing in one of our concerts. That's another story anyway, lol! I will be sharing more next time. You can visit More Than Words with Alicia for more Friday Photoflashback.

Happy Birthday Sis- A Story to Tell

Today is my sister's birthday. This month, I guess, we have a lot of celebrations in our family. Next week is my Nanay's (Mom) birthday. We will also celebrate our wedding anniversary this month, my hubby's birthday and my nephew too. Anyhow, I will highlight today's celebration.

My younger sister (Susan) is the fourth child of five. We were blessed with better husbands. Why did I say that? Because after I get married, she followed after a couple of months. But she got pregnant after 2 months while I enjoy my happy moments with my hubby. She gave birth for her first baby girl while I was waiting for another 2 months to give birth for our first born son. Our children grew together and became close to each other. They went to the same christian school and they both excel in their classes. My sister was a teacher in that school and my hubby was the POD (Prefect of Discipline) and a teacher as well. So both of our kids were free.

When the kids were already 7 years old, something strange happened. My sister's daughter, we call her Dawna Gaylle, was experiencing something inside and was always sick. My sister was anxious about it so she brought Dawna to the doctor for check up. Many tests were given to her as well as laboratories and the final diagnoses was that Dawna Gaylle had leukemia. That was an unexpected blast to my sister and to all of us as a family. We were crying in the middle of the church service and could not expect that diagnoses. We were all hopeless, didn't know what to do nor what to say. She was brought to Manila for another check up but it was the same. The last recourse is to let her undergo chemotherapy. She had undergone it for 2 years and she was healed.

She went back to school after taking PEPT, a test for children who failed to go to a normal school and she was upgraded to another level because she passed the test. She really wanted to have a normal life. She had good memories when she finished her elementary years. Her mother, who is my sister saw her growing and knowing the Lord. Last year when we went back to the Phil. she was diagnosed again to have her sickness recurred. My sister and the whole family was shocked again but that time was a different one. During her monthly period we brought her to the hospital for blood transfusion since April to October last year. During this time she became closer to the Lord and every time she feels the pain she was crying and told the Lord about her pain. But before we went back to Thailand she was miraculously healed. Someone visited her during the night and touched her. My sister thought she was just hallucinating because she just came out of the hospital. But she was insisting that she really talked to the person who was wearing white according to her. We were expecting that time that she will be taken by the Lord because her tummy was swelling with jaundice eyes. After that instance, we brought her to the hospital and everything was okay with her. Her Mama (my sister) was shouting in the laboratory when she saw the result.

After 7 months the sickness recurred again. We were asking a lot of times why? But the Lord has the answer. She was taken by the Lord last August 2009. Through her death, many came to know the Lord especially the young ones, her classmates, friends, teachers, schoolmates and other visitors. The Lord has always the answer to all our questions. It was painful but the Lord has the will.

Why I was sharing this today? Because when I send a message to my sister Susan (Dawna's mother) today and greeted her, she said, she missed Dawna Gaylle so much and her birthday today is the saddest one. Praying that you are blessed while reading this post.

To My Sister Happy Happy Birthday Be Blessed and a blessing!!!

Sometimes life is hurting, leaving us painful experiences but the Lord has the answer. His plan is perfect and He Makes no Mistakes!!!
